George Gagnidze will perform a recital at the XVI Festival lírico Ópera Benicàssim in Spain on August 4. Accompanied by pianist José Manuel Frasquet, George will sing Neapolitan songs, art songs by Tchaikovsky as well as arias from some of his most important roles such as Macbeth, Nabucco, Tonio (Pagliacci) and Carlo Gérard (Andrea Chénier). The concert will take place at 21:00h at the Teatre Municipal Francesc Tàrrega.

On May 10, George Gagnidze stars in an Italian Opera Gala with the Kaunas City Symphony Orchestra led by Constantine Orbelian. He will be performing “Di Provenza” from Verdi's La traviata, “Pietà, rispetto, onore” from Macbeth, “Nemico della patria” from Giordano's Andrea Chénier and the “Te Deum” from Puccini's Tosca together with the Kaunas State Choir. Soprano Gabrielè Bukiné and tenor Arsen Soghomonyan will share the stage with him.

On April 13 and 18, George Gagnidze reprises the title role of Verdi's Macbeth for his house debut at the Teatro Comunale of Bologna. The new production by Jacopo Gassmann is conducted by Daniel Oren and also features Ekaterina Semenchuk / Daniela Schillaci as Lady Macbeth, Riccardo Fassi as Banco, Antonio Poli / Paolo Antognetti as Macduff, Anna Cimmarrusti as Dama di Lady Macbeth, Marco Miglietta as Malcolm, Kwangisk Park as Il medico and Gabriele Ribis as Il sicaro, L'araldo and Un domestico di Macbeth.

On February 20, 22 and 24, George Gagnidze will bring one of his most celebrated roles to Las Palmas: Scarpia in Tosca. With more than 100 performances under his belt as the evil chief of police at venues such as the Metropolitan Opera, Teatro alla Scala, Paris Opera, Teatro Real Madrid or Wiener Staatsoper, George Gagnidze appears in Gran Canaria under the baton of Ramón Tebar and in a staging by Daniele Piscopo. Erika Grimaldi and Piotr Beczala will share the stage with him in the other leading roles.
